Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Peel and thinly slice the russet potatoes about 1/8 inch thick. Soak the slices briefly in cold water to remove excess starch, then drain thoroughly.
  2. Season and Mix: Pat the potato slices completely dry. Toss them gently with minced garlic, chopped thyme and parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Fill the Muffin Pan: Lightly grease a muffin pan with butter or oil. Layer the potato slices into each cup, pressing down slightly to compact and form each galette.
  4. Bake Until Golden: Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy. Optionally, broil for 1-2 minutes to add extra crunch—watch carefully.
  5. Serve Warm: Allow galettes to cool slightly before gently removing from the pan. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
