Base Ingredients
- 1 can premade biscuit dough (about 8 biscuits)
- 8 small fresh mozzarella balls or equivalent shredded mozzarella
Garlic Butter
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or fresh herbs like oregano, basil, parsley)
- Salt, pinch
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt butter in a small pan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in Italian seasoning and a pinch of salt, then remove from heat.
- Separate and Flatten the Biscuit Dough: Open the premade biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. On a lightly floured surface, gently flatten each biscuit into a small circle large enough to wrap around a mozzarella ball.
- Assemble the Biscuit Bombs: Place a mozzarella ball or a small portion of shredded mozzarella in the center of each dough circle. Spoon a little garlic butter onto the cheese, then carefully fold the dough edges up and around, pinching to seal tightly to form a sealed “bomb.”
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Place each sealed biscuit bomb seam-side down on a greased and lined baking sheet. Generously brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter for extra flavor and a golden finish.
- Bake Until Golden: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the bombs are puffy, golden brown, and the cheese inside is melted.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the biscuit bombs to cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burning from hot cheese. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Use room temperature biscuit dough for easier shaping and lighter texture.
- Seal edges tightly to prevent cheese from leaking while baking.
- Brush generous amounts of garlic butter on top for flavor and crispiness.
- Choose small mozzarella balls or cut larger cheese into small portions for easy wrapping.
- Serve the bombs warm for the best melty cheese experience.
