  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups steamed white jasmine or short-grain rice (or cauliflower rice for low-carb option)
  • Optional: sesame seeds, toasted sesame oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Finely mince fresh garlic and ginger, then slice green onions. Prepare rice by steaming if not using leftovers.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until no longer pink and evenly browned. Drain excess fat if desired.
  3. Add Aromatics and Sauce: Stir in the minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes directly into the beef. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Remove skillet from heat. Sprinkle sliced green onions on top and serve the beef mixture warm over steamed rice. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds or a drizzle of toasted sesame oil.
