Nacho Beef Bread Rolls

Nacho Beef Bread Rolls are warm, flavorful snacks combining seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and a mild spicy kick inside soft golden bread rolls. Perfect for quick snacks, game days, or parties, this easy-to-make recipe appeals to all ages and can be customized to suit your taste or dietary needs.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean or regular)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp nacho seasoning (blend of chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and oregano)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 soft bread rolls (fresh or store-bought)
  • Optional: 1-2 jalapeños, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef filling: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Add chopped onions and nacho seasoning, then cook for 2-3 minutes until onions soften and spices infuse the beef mixture.
  2. Assemble the rolls: Slice each bread roll horizontally, making a pocket without cutting through. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into each roll, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Add sliced jalapeños inside if desired for extra spice.
  3. Bake until melty and golden: Place the filled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese melts and bread edges turn golden brown.
  4. Garnish and serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh cilantro or a dollop of sour cream for freshness and creaminess before serving.

Notes

  • Use warm bread rolls to prevent sogginess from the beef filling.
  • Drain beef well to avoid greasy rolls.
  • Do not overstuff rolls to keep them intact and neat.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded varieties.
  • Prepare the beef filling ahead and refrigerate to save time on serving day.
